At 9,430 feet, this basketball court in the tiny Himalayan village of Ghorepani is one of the highest in the world, pipped in the Guinness book of records by a court in neighbouring Tibet. 5 hours trek from the nearest road, the village mainly caters to the many hikers during the peak seasons. It sits in the shadows of the ominous Annapurna mountains of the Himalayas. All supplies, including construction materials, need to be carried up by man (or donkey). But even in the middle of winter, the court was getting daily use from the locals.
